Very complex on the nose. Fine dry woods, soft leather & aldehydic florals. “Good things take time…”
Bergamot, Petitgrain, Galbanum, Leather, Rose on a base of Cedarwood, Sandalwood & Musk
A very elegant gift.
This fragrance was bobbing along quite nicely but was missing ‘something’ – & quite a lot of it at that!
We knew it could be really special but couldn’t put our finger on how to do it – until one day we had our noses over a Galbanum sample. That moment when you know you’ve found the missing link is nothing short of joyous. So off we scampered to our unfinished samples – in went the Galbanum – & Ta-Dah. It was done.
Galbanum adds both a muskiness but also an intense green. It is mentioned in the Book of Exodus 30:34 where it was used an an incense; Hippocrates worked with it as a medicine. – & the ancient Egyptians called it the ‘Mother Resin’!
